it's prolly very sweet if you're just heading down for a short spell. i grew up there and it totally sucked. small-minded, bigoted and a police presence that bordered on fascism.

i think it's mellowed out a little in the intervening years since i lived there but i'm scarred for life.

it's kind of sad for me to go back these days (my mother still lives there and i go to visit sometimes) and see how much development there is now. when i was a kid down there there was so much open wilderness to explore. it's all given way to home depots, targets, wal-marts, et. al.
