i'm with you there. when i first moved here i inquired about whether or not there were any faerie coffees happening and was told not anymore but i was welcome to establish them. however, since my recognition level in los angeles is, well, absolutely zero, i didn't think i'd be able to make much of a splash in that market.

i do, however, have a little house with a nice big backyard which could be made available for faerie potlucks or stuff like that. unfortunately, there's no privacy from any of the other neighbors so we'd still be pretty limited in what we could actually do.
